I am going to tell you the story of how books became my life . . .
When I was younger, I didn’t pay much attention to books. I just flipped through the pages, looking at the pictures. But when I was in preschool, my mother and father would to read me stories until I fell asleep.
We read classic stories like Corduroy and fun stories like the See Otto series. As they read to me, grew a passion for books. When I learned to read, I loved reading the “mother goose” nursery rhymes “Jack be nimble” was one of my favorites.
As I grew older, my passion for books grew more and more . . .
Mom and Dad bought me new book. Before, I barely had any books. Now, I have hundreds and hundreds. But I want more.
I am always excited to read a new book. When I read a book, I feel a glowing sensation in my tummy because I get to learn new things. I always go to the library at school and the town library in my town. I borrow as many books as I can. Books are my life! What is yours?
